Thiruvalluvar Statue

This statue of the extraordinary Tamil poet, Thiruvalluvar statue is fabricated precisely of that of the statue of Liberty in America. The stone statue is 133 feet high speaking to the 38 parts in the first a piece of the Kural (Virtue) and the 95 ft statue speaks to the aggregate sections in the second and third parts of the Kural, Wealth and Love.  Thus the statue symbolizes the subjects of fortune affection dependent upon temperance.

The platform is encompassed by a masterful mandapam known as alankara mandapam. Encompassing this mandapam stand statues of ten elephants.  To help the guests to love the sacred feet of the example of piety 140 steps are built inside the mandapam.  The establishment stone for the statue was laid in 1979.  Five hundred stone workers were locked in for this work under the capable direction of Dr. Ganapathi Sthapathi and the work was finished in 1999.  The state was introduced on first January 2000 by Dr.mu. Karunanidhi,  the then boss pastor of Tamil nadu.
