Maharashtra

The saying Maharashtra has been determined from the Sanskrit word," Maha and "Rashtra" which fundamentally implies an extraordinary country. This Indian state was made on first of May in the year 1960. This Indian state is spotted in the western area of India. Mumbai, the budgetary capital of India, is the capital of Maharashtra.



The state allotments its fringes with the other Indian states of Gujarat and the Union region of Dadar and Nagar Havelli in the northwest, Arabian Sea is placed in the West, Madhya Pradesh in the north and northeast, in the east is Chhattisgarh to the east, in the south is Karnataka, in Southeast is Andhra Pradesh and Goa is found in the southwest. The state of Maharashtra is spread in a region of 307,731 km2 (118,816 sq mi) , which blankets just about or 9.84% of the aggregate land territory of the nation of India.
