Mathura is the land of Lord Krishna. The town is located in the state of Uttar Pradesh and is popular amidst Hindus for the devout reasons. There are a number of places that one can visit while residing in Mathura. The land of lord Krishna is a popular holy place for the devotees. It is believed that Lord Krishna who dwelled around 3500 years back was born in this city only. According to popular tales, Lord Krishna was born here when his dad was imprisoned by his maternal uncle King Kansa. If you visit the town you will find the colors of Sri Krishna. There is a large-scale temple surrounded by the arcades of stores that deal Krishna souvenirs.
Quite interestingly there is furthermore Katra-Masjid, which was built by Aurangzeb, which is supplied by the security staff after the Ayodhya occurrence. There is a container called as Potara Kund, which is almost 200 meters away. This is the same place where baby Krishna’s nappies were allegedly washed.
